Relaxing Sundays

In Switzerland Sundays are a day of relaxation and spending time with family and friends.

It took me awhile to get used to the fact that no stores or commercial spaces are open. So if you want to have a nice Sunday brunch, you have to be organized and think ahead for what you want to make the day beforehand. Like every Genevan Sunday, the city is quiet and empty. Everyone stays at home with family or enjoys a stroll in the park with friends.

Of course, there is always a touristic cafe by the lake open for a drink.

On another sunny Sunday, Thomas and I decided to venture to the lakeside in Ouchy, Lausanne. In Ouchy, Sundays are nothing like in Geneva. The promenade is lively and full of people and families.

Its after days like these that I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful country.

As you can see I was smooth enough to have Thomas let me wear his stunning Daniel Wellington. I can only dream to one day own a DW for myself!

I guess we could say that enjoying the sun with a glass of wine or coffee by the lake is sort of our Sunday tradition. But as the weeks are passing, fall is getting colder and colder. Autumn is really here!
