Picnics, Mojitos, and Disco

When I first came back to Switzerland after a long summer in the states, I was lucky enough to be greeted by two good friends from Canada and the States.

They came to visit for their summer holiday to say hello again to this country of cheese, chocolate, and wine. I made it back just in time for their last week of their trip.

We had a classic Swiss evening by having a picnic next to the lake in Nyon. And like we did in the past, we moved picnic table to a seclusive beach area where you can have a beautiful view of the water crashing on the rocks.

On a budget, we found a box of Franzia. Funnily enough, it is the only brand of boxed wine at the local  grocery store!

After the sun settled, we enjoyed watching the boats come to shore in the darkness.

Later during their stay, we had a tradition American game of circle of death. A game we were happy to teach to our Swiss friends.

I would say everyone slowly yet surely understood the thousands of rules and tricks that make this game so enjoyable in small groups.

The rest of the night was spent by putting to good use our dancing shoes at a bar called Silencio where we sang along to their Friday night Disco Swing.

And as all good trips end, the girls had to leave and say their goodbyes.

Until next time Hannah and Rachel!
