Apple Crumble Tart

After going apple picking, we wanted to put our apples to good use in a delicious apple crumble tart.

To make a delicious apple tart: step one, find two handsome men who will voluntarily do all of the work while you relax with a cup of coffee and the camera at hand.

No seriously, they did all of the preparation and I am so impressed.

Ingredients:

5 apples picked with love
1 pastry crust
110 grs sugar (1/2 cup)
15 cl milk (3/4 cup)
3 eggs yolks
35 grs cornstarch (3 1/2 tbs)
2 tsp cinnamon
60 grs grounded almonds (3/4 cup)
30 grs butter (1 oz)

Start by preheating the oven to 230ºC (450ºF). Then peal the apples and take out the core. Cut them in thin slices.

In a bowl, whip the egg yolks with the sugar until creamy. Pour the milk a little by little and add the cornstarch while continuing to stir. Mix well and add the cinnamon.

Spread out the pastry crust in a large circular pan, filling all of the sides to create a small crust. Take out the extra and poke with a fork the center of the crust. Decorate the pan by laying out the apple slices in a circular rotation. Make sure to lay them close to each other.

Pour the cinnamon cream on top and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.

Take out of the oven and leave it to the side to cool until room temperature.

While it's cooling, prepare the crumble by melting the butter in a pan. Add the grounded almonds and sprinkle a light topping of cinnamon. Let them heat up while continuing to stir until it is golden. Spread on top of the apple tart. We put it back in the oven for 5 minutes to really get a crunchy apple crumble on top of the tart.

Serve to your friends or family with a scoop of ice cream.

And it was delicious...
